With Google Calendars options, Rainlendar 2 has been left up to the Apples technology and has not been overly restricted or forced to use their online services, with the exception of online synchronization. Furthermore, recent updates have changed the appearance of the main application window. In fact, one of the better things about Rainlendar is that it signs up and signs off from Google services automatically, which is usually an added benefit to most people; but for those on the iPhone, it is refreshing to see the new calendar features and calendar scheduling that are taking over iOS. Not to mention the new Google Calendar add-on that is available that allows for syncing over to one's iPhone, iPad, and Android smartphone.
So what makes Rainlendar any different than other calendar programs? It is fairly apparent that there are several dozen of calendar programs that would be able to do the same thing, but Rainlendar works with all your calendars, especially Google Calendar. Sharing with friends, family, or coworkers, is easy with Rainlendar, since it lets you pick any calendar the same way Google Calendar does. The feature most non users of calendar programs do not consider is the calendar creation section.
Another great feature with Rainlendar is that every calendar can be customized if one does not like the default layout. Simply go to event properties, see what features you would like to change, and edit accordingly. Maybe you want to change the font, color, size, or some other aspect of the calendar, not to mention the gregorian/hebrew or talmud calendars that are availables. Rainlendar allows for this type of customization, and if it is not changed for a certain background image, an image will be added instead. Also, the ability to add videos to events is an added bonus that I did not even know was possible. In fact, Rainlendar allows the background video for each event to be played automatically at the set time. Whether it is a good or bad change, I do not know; but what I think is great is that videos can be uploaded from the web and linked to the event as well. 7211a4ac4a
